Introduction: 
Abrasive wheels are essential tools in various industries, offering versatile solutions for cutting, grinding, and polishing. However, improper use poses significant safety risks, potentially leading to severe injuries. This comprehensive Abrasive Wheels Instructor Training course is designed to equip participants with the knowledge, skills, and instructional techniques necessary to train others in the safe selection, mounting, and operation of abrasive wheels. The course aligns with Ireland’s safety legislation, including the Safety, Health, and Welfare at Work (General Application) Regulations 2007 (S.I. No. 299 of 2007), and emphasizes the development of effective training delivery methods.

The Abrasive Wheels Instructor Training equips participants with the knowledge, skills, and instructional techniques to effectively train others in the safe use of abrasive wheels. By the end of this course, participants will be able to:

Identify and explain the hazards associated with abrasive wheels and how to mitigate them. 
Demonstrate safe selection, inspection, and mounting of abrasive wheels.

Overview of the Safety, Health, and Welfare at Work (General Application) Regulations 2007 and their application to abrasive wheels. 
Types of abrasive wheels, their applications, and material compatibility. 
Hazards associated with abrasive wheels, including breakage, improper use, and environmental factors. 
Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements for abrasive wheel operations. 
Best practices for inspection, storage, and maintenance of abrasive wheels. 
Instructional techniques for delivering effective training sessions 
Practical Component 
 
Participants will apply their learning through hands-on activities and simulated training scenarios, including: 
Safe mounting and balancing of abrasive wheels.
