Introduction: 
It is essential that all employees, particularly those acting as Fire Wardens, have the necessary knowledge and skills to respond effectively to fire-related emergencies and ensure the safety of all occupants in the workplace. 
Fire Safety Awareness and Fire Warden Training provides participants with an understanding of fire prevention measures, evacuation procedures, and their specific roles in ensuring compliance with fire safety regulations. 
 
Employers are required to: 
Employers are legally required under the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work Act 2005 and the Fire Services Acts 1981 and 2003 to implement fire safety measures and train designated personnel to act in fire emergencies.

Course Objectives: 
The Fire Safety Awareness and Fire Warden Training equips delegates with the knowledge and skills needed to manage fire safety in the workplace and respond appropriately in emergencies. 
Upon completion of the course, delegates will be able to: 
Understand fire safety legislation and employer/employee responsibilities. 
Recognize fire hazards and implement control measures. 
Demonstrate the use of fire extinguishers and other safety equipment. 
Conduct effective evacuations and fire drills. 
Perform the role of a Fire Warden, ensuring a safe and efficient evacuation. 
Theoretical component: 
 
Overview of fire safety legislation and responsibilities. 
Fire prevention measures and common workplace fire hazards. 
The chemistry of fire – how fires start and spread. 
Types of fire extinguishers and their appropriate uses. 
Emergency evacuation procedures and the role of a Fire Warden. 
Conducting fire risk assessments and implementing corrective actions. 
Practical component: 
 
Practice using fire extinguishers on controlled fires. 
Participate in fire drills and evacuation exercises. 
Role-play scenarios to simulate Fire Warden duties during an emergency. 
Conduct a basic workplace fire risk assessment.
